Botanical Liqueurs
TRIPLE SEC • ALPINE APÉRITIF • HERBAL PASTIS
Our liqueurs are all named after their main single ingredient, but all have a carefully selected backbone of other complimentary botanicals.
ORANGE • A quintessential Triple Sec Curacao liqueur. Famously known as a crucial element in a Margarita, but may also be consumed as a digestif. Our version of this orange flavoured liqueur uses cinchona bark for bitterness, alongside a variety of citrus to add balanced complexity.
GENTIAN • A pleasantly bitter liqueur, made from Gentian root. Gentian liqueur is particularly popular in France, where it is consumed as an aperitif on the rocks with lemon juice, or tall with soda. To our rendition we include aromatic flowers amongst other herbs to add roundness. Gentian might be a single botanical liqueur, but is undeniably dynamic, managing to be earthy, bitter & floral all at once.
ANISE • Our take on a classic Pastis. A typically southern French aperitif, best served long with still mineral water & ice. When diluted, the alcohol turns from a clear amber colour to a cloudy yellow or ‘louches’. The primary flavour is aniseed, with added notes of rosemary & citrus. At a considerable 40% abv, Anise certainly has a prominent personality.
